Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Location: Dallas, Texas

Salary: $85.00-$90.00/Hourly

Role: Threat Detection Engineer

Primary Skills: Detection Engineering/Identity & Access Management

Role Description: The Threat Detection Engineer must have 8+ years of experience. This role is a highly skilled role. 

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing security detection rules to meet the client needs.

Required Experience and Skills:

Strong candidates will meet the following qualifications:

• Experience with cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience with cybersecurity tools, systems, and solutions.
• Security experience with one or more of the following: application, networking, endpoint, server/virtualization, data, or cloud.
• Programming and/or Scripting experience required in both Splunk writing SQL, and Microsoft Sentinel writing MS Sentinel analytical rules in KQL.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• Huge plus if you are in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

Additional Skills:

• Threat detection engineering, analytic rule development, Splunk Query Language, Kusto Query Language (KQL).

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Experience: Minimum 8+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses

Travel: No

Note: Must be able to work on a W2 basis (No C2C)
