General Statement of Duties
Performs responsible custodial and routine maintenance work involving the interior, immediate grounds, and mechanical system of the day shift of a small elementary school, or the evening shift of a large school; and performs related duties as required.
Supervision Received
Works under the general, technical, and administrative supervision of a Facility Operations Coordinator; receives some administrative supervision from a school principal.
Supervision Exercised
Plans, assigns, leads, and reviews the work of a crew of lower-level custodial employees assigned to a specific school district facility.

Pay, Benefits and Work Schedule
This is a 12 month position working 40 hours per week.
Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Custodial Maintence negotiated labor agreement. The labor agreement and salary schedule can be found at Labor Agreements - Saint Paul Public Schools (spps.org) The minimum rate of pay for this position is $30.24 per hour.
Benefits are available to new employees after 30 days of active employment. Benefits include medical insurance, life insurance, sick leave, pension plan, tax-free retirement account, and flexible spending account. Transcript - Unofficial transcripts are accepted at the time of hire. You must submit official transcripts within 30 days of your start date. Formal credential evaluation is required for post-secondary education completed outside of the United States.
