The Regional Sales Director manages the outside sales team and retail sales business. In addition to setting individual and regional branch locations' sales goals, this individual will facilitate the sales team's success by setting the direction for the branch, training, coaching, communicating, helping them build their businesses, and removing obstacles to their success.
Responsibilities:
- Directly manages the sales team
- Facilitates the success of the team by setting a direction, establishing goals, and conducting meetings to ensure the success and alignment of the team.
- Builds new business and grows existing business and customer relationships.
- Works closely with the Regional General Managers by offering timely communication, sales forecasts and reporting, and strategic direction.
- Responsible for meeting monthly and quarterly sales goals.
- Directly works with Service and Sales Training Managers to reinforce sales skills, expand knowledge, and drive positive behavior & results.
- Directly interfaces with the Regional Rental Manager to drive rental business growth and effective interaction with the sales team.
- Represent BearCom’s values and business ethics.

- Leadership - The ability to effectively attract, develop, coach and motivate the sales staff.
- Communication Skills - The ability and desire to consistently communicate to the sales team and other interdependent departments (operations, marketing, IT). Should be an impactful and influential presenter, negotiator and communicator.
- Flexibility and Adaptability – The ability to adapt to various situations (market or interpersonal), demands or organizational needs. Must have the interpersonal and work style flexibility to handle multiple priorities and remain stress tolerant.
- Interpersonal Skills/Customer Focus - The capacity to team with sales people and other managers as well as build relationships across the organization. Must be effective in dealing with customers to create win/win situations with them and employees.
- Thinking Skills- A clear thinker who uses objectivity, experience, and analysis to make decisions. Additionally, this individual should have the ability to see the bigger picture and set a direction for the Sales team. With this comes the ability to plan, budget, forecast, and evaluate the market. Some creativity and innovation in handling novel problems or bolstering sales results would be welcomed.
- Drive for Results - The ideal candidate will have the raw drive and energy to be highly self-motivated as well as promote urgency and results throughout the sales team. Maintains an appreciation for EBITDA.
- Education and/or Experience: 10 years of successful sales experience, with 5 years of management (preferably sales management) experience. A proven track record of building a team (hiring, training, developing), working knowledge of JD Edwards, marketing experience, and product/industry knowledge is also a plus.
