What This Role Entails

As a Case Manager – Insurance Coverage, you’ll guide patients through the complex world of health insurance, helping them enroll in MaineCare or marketplace coverage. You'll act as a key liaison between patients, various departments, and community resources, making sure all forms and information are properly handled. Your work will directly improve access to healthcare for those who need it most.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) – “What you will need”:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or two years relevant experience preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Certification as a Maine Enrollment Assistor or Certified Application Assistor with the Health Insurance Marketplace preferred or will be trained upon hire. Valid Driver’s license required.
  • Experience: Two years of relevant experience in social/human services, health care or related field preferred. Knowledge of state and federal agencies, community resources, experience with community outreach and networking, and strong advocacy skills preferred.
