he Compression Operator / Tablet Press Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining tablet press machinery used in the production of tablets. This role ensures the efficient and accurate compression of powder into tablets while adhering to safety, quality, and production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Tablet Press Machinery:
- Set up, start, and adjust tablet press machines according to production specifications.
- Monitor and control the tablet press to ensure consistent tablet weight, size, and quality.
- Adjust machine settings as needed to accommodate different formulations or batch sizes.
- Compression Process Management:
- Load and unload powders and granules into the tablet press.
- Inspect and test tablets for adherence to quality standards, including weight, hardness, and appearance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the tablet press, including jams, misfeeds, or mechanical faults.
- Maintenance and Cleaning:
- Perform routine maintenance on tablet press machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Clean and sanitize equipment according to standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and cleaning activities.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular checks and tests on tablets to ensure they meet specified quality standards and specifications.
- Document and report any deviations or issues that arise during the compression process.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain product integrity.
