We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Systems Engineering Manager with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure to lead our cloud engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of cloud engineers, architects, and administrators, ensuring the successful design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure, and a proven track record in managing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This position offers remote setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Georgia, whether it's your home, a well-equipped office in Tbilisi or coworking spaces in Batumi and Kutaisi.

Responsibilities

  • Prototype Azure solutions, create clear architecture, and modernize application portfolios
  • Lead the Azure journey, assess TCO, and drive implementation from goals to "go-live"
  • Conduct Azure solutions architecture reviews, create audit reports and focus on the continuous refinement of consulting offerings
  • Provide guidance on Azure best practices and establish thought leadership
  • Build and lead a skilled Azure team, fostering continuous development and service integration

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering or IT infrastructure roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership/management position
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Azure, including architecture, deployment, and management
  • Experience with cloud migration projects and hybrid cloud environments is highly desirable
  • Artificial Intelligence Proficiency: practical experience in implementing and managing AI-driven solutions
  • Deep knowledge of Azure services (e.g., Azure Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, Azure DevOps)
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Resource Manager
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and DevOps practices
  • B2+ English level proficiency

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP)
  • Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer) are highly preferred
