At L&P Aerospace, we specialize in creating complex tube and duct assemblies using high-performance materials capable of withstanding extreme pressure, temperature, and chemical interaction.

After our materials have gone through the necessary processes, we are left with high-performance finished goods that are ready to be incorporated into assemblies for our customers.

POSITION SUMMARY: Recommends and assists in the implementation of methods which enhance the Quality Management System and customer satisfaction. Assists in quality system audits including evaluation of suppliers. Ensure the incorporation of quality plans into manufacturing processes to improve the overall quality of products delivered. Assists with the development of efficient and lean product validation methods. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist Quality Manager in the development and maintenance of Quality Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Responsible for updating all specifications to the latest revision.
  • Assist in the Quality System/conduct internal audits.
  • Facilitate and promote the use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.
  • Perform duties in accordance with quality system requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal groups such as Engineering, Inspection, Manufacturing to resolve customer complaints.
  • Ensure internal non-conformances and corrective/preventive actions are completed in an effective and timely manner.
  • Responsible for creating certification packages for outgoing product.
  • Manage approved supplier listing and measure and chart supplier performance.
  • Review outside vendor certifications for compliance to specification requirements.
  • Manage and conduct employee training program.

  • Continuous Improvement– Identify job specific and general area improvements to supervision. Consistently improve the organization and cleanliness of assigned areas (6S).
  • MRP – Constant adherence to MRP system. Identify potential or realized issues to supervision.
  • Workforce Development – Identify training needs (or opportunities) to supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • A genuine belief in continuous improvement and disciplined processes. A willingness to analyze, challenge and change processes, if needed, to create a more efficient environment and culture.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED: 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in the aerospace quality field; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Understand and interpret blueprints, specifications, operations sheets, etc.
  • Understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Computer literate (Windows, MS Office, E-mail, etc.)
  • Self-starter who is comfortable with hands-on activities.
