TidalHealth in Salisbury, MD is seeking a dynamic and visionary Neurology Residency Program Director to lead our Neurology Residency Program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, a strong background in neurology, and the ability to inspire and mentor the next generation of neurologists. This role involves overseeing the residency program’s administration, curriculum, and faculty development while ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Neurology Residency Program, including curriculum development, faculty recruitment, and resident mentoring.
2. Accreditation and Compliance: Ensure the program meets ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) standards and maintain accreditation through regular evaluations and documentation.
3. Educational Oversight: Develop and implement a comprehensive educational curriculum that includes didactic, clinical, and research components. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
4. Resident Supervision: Oversee the recruitment, training, and evaluation of residents. Provide guidance and support to residents in their clinical and professional development.
5. Faculty Development: Mentor and support faculty members in their teaching roles and professional growth. Facilitate ongoing faculty development programs.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with medical staff, hospital administration, and other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to resident education and patient care.
7. Research and Innovation: Promote and support research initiatives within the program. Encourage resident involvement in scholarly activities and clinical research.

Qualifications:

1. Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.
2. Board Certification: Board-certified in Neurology.
3. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical and educational experience in neurology, with previous leadership experience preferred.
4. Leadership Skills: Proven track record of effective program management, team leadership, and administrative skills.
5. Communication: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
6. Commitment to Education: Demonstrated commitment to residency education, including mentorship and professional development.
