Overview:

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you'll manage multiple tax projects, delivering top-notch services to a variety of clients across industries. You'll apply your tax expertise, research skills, and accounting knowledge to help clients meet their tax needs and navigate complex issues.

Responsibilities:

Tax & Accounting:

  • Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, and non-profits.
  • Collaborate with audit teams to tackle complex tax challenges.
  • Build strong client relationships through your expertise in tax and accounting.
  • Assist clients with tax planning and resolving tax-related issues.
  • Draft internal memos and client correspondence.
  • Work with the tax team to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Client Management:

  • Juggle multiple client engagements effectively.
  • Respond to client questions and provide expert advice.
  • Understand and prioritize client needs.

Technical Skills:

  • Solid understanding of tax practices and forms (990, 5500, 1040, 1120, 1065, etc.).
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with IRS procedures.
  • Experience with tax research and technical writing.

Professional Development:

  • Actively work toward your CPA certification.
  • Stay on top of market trends to keep your advice fresh and relevant.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 3+ years of public accounting tax experience.
  • Knowledge of tax forms and software (ProSystem FX, GoFileRoom preferred).
  • CPA eligibility (CPA certification preferred).
