Coordinator of Grants and Development Level 1
Assists in the management of pre-award sponsored research (including non-financial post-award) activities in the College of Engineering.
45% Coordinate CoE proposal development and processing for approval, signature and submission to external sponsors for CoE departments with limited supervision; prepare proposal packages (i.e. Grants.Gov); assist faculty in routing proposals through GeauxGrants to meet internal and external deadlines; review proposals for compliance with sponsor requests, and College/University procedures/policies; assists in obtaining University waivers, matching letters and special approvals; assists in resolving issues through discussions with faculty and administrators.
20% Administrate CoE grants and contracts; transmit account requests and University forms to OSP for approval and submission; receive, review and forward notifications for all awards; route contracts and amendments for faculty and University approval; assists in preparing and processing subcontracts/awards forms; coordinate with accountants and the Finance Office regarding post-award management; serve as back-up support for other grant coordinators.
20% Assists with research reporting and document retention; maintain CoE file for proposals and awards.
10% Serves as liaison between faculty, staff, CoE, the Offices of Sponsored Programs (OSP), the Office of Research and Economic Development (ORED) and Sponsored Program Accounting (SPA) for individual proposals. Keep abreast of university and agency research regulations and requirements; attend appropriate seminars, trainings, workshops and webinars.
5% Other duties as assigned which includes but is not limited to: Assist in maintaining up-do-date website; Assist with developing training materials.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and1-2 years of professional experience with some University setting.

45% Autonomously assist in the management of CoE proposal development and processing for approval, signature and submission to external sponsors for several large CoE departments with limited supervision; independently prepare proposal packages (i.e. Grants.Gov); assist faculty in routing proposals through GeauxGrants to meet internal and external deadlines; review proposals for compliance with sponsor requests, and College/University procedures/policies; obtain University waivers, matching letters and special approvals; assist in resolving issues through discussions with faculty and administrators.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 2 or more years of professional experience overall with 1-2 years of research administration related experience. Some experience in a university setting.
