This position’s primary focus will be collaborating with HR and business teams to implement programs in the Workday HRIS by interpreting business needs and creating systemic solutions. This role will also provide support for day-to-day operations of the business inside of Workday - collaborating with managers and leaders. The Workday Senior Analyst works independently, in consultation with People Directors and peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning. This position serves as a subject matter expert on systems functionality, configuration, and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work across the various Essex Workday Modules: HCM (Benefits, Compensation), Advanced Compensation, Performance & Talent, Time Tracking, Absence, Workday Adaptive, Recruiting, and Learning.
  • Create and maintain Workday Reports: Matrix, Calculated Fields
  • Participate on bi-annual Workday Feature Release Testing and Documentation
  • Partner closely with HRIS team, business, and support teams to understand system end-user needs and provide recommendations
  • Assist in rollout and implementation of HR programs.
  • Documents requirements, processes, solution recommendations, test plans, and change management impacts.
  • Ensure data integrity within Workday and assist with HRIS data audits and cleanup
  • Assist with broadening internal knowledge of Workday through hands-on training to HRIS and other support teams.
  • Respond to employee, manager, and HR team requests and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Analyzes, troubleshoots and helps resolve HRIS issues in a timely manner.
  • Continuously increases knowledge in HR technology by serving as an expert on functional capabilities, staying informed on product capabilities and trends, and interacting with vendor communities.
  • Coordinate and perform system testing to ensure requirements are met
  • Assist project team during user acceptance testing (UAT); including tracking issues through to resolution and securing end user acceptance sign off
  • May guide and/or assist with other Human Resources Information Systems projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Workday
  • Experience in Workday components such as Core HCM, Onboarding, Absence Management, Time Tracking, Benefits, Talent/Performance, and Advanced Compensation.
  • Minimum 2+ years as a hands-on HRIS Analyst or similar experience
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to manage small projects independently
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks effectively, and prioritize requests
  • Adapt well to change
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
