Summary

  • As part of the Operations Transformation System Entities team, this role will primarily support Operations Transformation activities at Maine Behavioral Healthcare and MaineHealth Care at Home.
  • The Operation Transformation Specialist serves as a facilitative lead and proactive coach of improvement activities through the application of a wide range of needed expertise. The Operational Transformation Specialist builds relationships with leaders at all levels of the region, including clinicians, front-line care teams, and other stakeholders to assess and enhance systems to produce optimal organizational process outcomes. Leveraging their expertise, relationships, and data (both qualitative and quantitative), this role supports the planning, execution and monitoring of processes and systems tied to the MaineHealth Strategic Plan Scorecard in order to translate strategic goals into tactical action plans. The Operational Transformation Specialist also demonstrates business acumen, interpersonal savvy, critical thinking, systems thinking, problem-solving and data analytics skills. This position serves as a facilitator of change management and project management principles and methodologies in order to address opportunities for improvement while promoting stakeholder engagement in solution development. Throughout their engagements and daily interactions, this role teaches, coaches and advises care team members on continuous improvement to spread consistent, strategic utilization of performance improvement and operational excellence principles.
  • Based in Westbrook, candidates can expect to spend most of their time in the field working with clinic teams.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
  • License/Certifications: Lead Six Sigma White or Yellow Belt preferred. 
  • Experience: One year of healthcare experience preferred. Experience with strategic alignment, process improvement, change management methods, project facilitation, team building, organization/leadership development, employee engagement or other role required.

  • Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Skilled at facilitating a group process, building teams and transferring knowledge and skills. Ability to handle medium to large scale projects involving multiple resources and spanning many months.
