Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process international export paperwork and correspondence essential to orders from foreign countries for shipping; including commercial documents, freight forwarder documents, transport documents, banking documents, dangerous goods documents as needed.
  • Reserve customer order lines, create/print, & schedule customer order pick lists
  • Communicate with freight forwarders/shipping companies/brokers related to arranging shipments and documentation, export, and import.
  • Process export declarations for shipments as needed, via government Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)
  • Communicate with customs broker/freight forwarders related to incoming import shipments and documentation for clearance, providing product classifications, documents, and transport information as needed.
  • Process imports licenses for products as needed.
  • Process shipment reporting for marine insurance
  • Organize, maintain, and update department files and records.
  • Respond to correspondence sent to Personal and Group Logistics’ departmental emails i.e take appropriate action regarding complaints & problem solving; freight quote requests; expedite requests; etc.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Minimum two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Education:

  • High School Diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred.
