Job Summary Job Summary In service of supporting schools in the region to function as robust community schools, the Regional Program Manager of Community Schools plays a key role in the development, training, implementation, and delivery of comprehensive community schools programming for our school sites. This role will work closely with both our Regional Team and school-based teammates overseeing California Community Schools Partnership Programming grants for the design, implementation, and supervision of the California Community Schools Partnership Program preventions, interventions, and enrichment activities designed to support the holistic development of students, in alignment with Aspire-wide priorities and initiatives. This role will also oversee and host regular Communities of Practice for all schools in the region who hold community schools grants. Reporting to the Director of Community and Expanded Learning, CVRO and in close collaboration with all regional teammates overseeing community schools and expanded learning programming. This impactful role also supports the development of high quality org-wide practices as aligned to the four pillars of community schools: Integrated Student Supports, Family and Community Engagement, Collaborative Leadership and Practices for Educators and Administrators, and Extended Learning Time and Opportunities. QUALIFICATIONS:
Required knowledge, skills & abilities:
Expertise in community schools programming and structure
Knowledge of community schools systems and best practices
Knowledge of reporting and compliance-related requirements of community schools grants
Ability to coach others and improve their practice
Exceptional ability to bridge and enhance cooperative working relationships
Ability to manage projects including development, implementation and evaluation
Ability to communicate proactively, effectively and provide and act on feedback
Strong problem analysis and problem resolution skills using an inquiry framework
Proven leadership skills with the ability to contribute to a team
Understands and applies an equity centered lens in problem solving
Minimum educational level:
Bachelor’s degree required, with relevant degree and/or content expertise; Master’s degree preferred
Experience required:
5+ years as a teacher, school counselor (or related field), or school administrator, with demonstrated results in the designated content area
Physical requirements:
Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned
Communicating with others to exchange information
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
Work authorization requirements:
Clear the Department of Justice background screening
Authorized to work in the United States
Provide health (TB) clearance (must renew every four years)
