Responsibilities
- Design and develop RESTful web APIs using Angular and Node.js
- Maintain and optimize existing PostgresQL and MySQL relational databases
- Write database migrations to adapt schemas over time
- Manage backend microservice deployments to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) / App Engine
- Develop intuitive and engaging user interfaces using modern frontend techniques and tooling
- Collaborate closely with frontend developers to implement advanced Angular applications
- Ensure high performance and low-latency APIs and database queries
- Support multiple projects concurrently while adhering to tight deadlines
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding project status and deliverables
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Angular and Node.js development
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a strong foundation in frontend and backend development
- Familiarity with Google Cloud technologies, such as App Engine and GCP storage options (e.g., Google Cloud Datastore, Google Cloud SQL)
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgresQL, MySQL) and proficiency in writing SQL queries
- Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and experience in designing and implementing APIs
- Bonus points for familiarity with Sequelize ORM and/or Python
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
