As primary investment area within Goldman Sachs, we provide investment and advisory services for pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, financial advisors and individuals. 

Alternatives Capital Formation (ACF) is a firmwide group established to oversee all institutional capital markets, capital raising, and strategy for alternative investments throughout Goldman Sachs. Engaging with both Goldman Sachs’ proprietary direct-investing programs and external managers’ open-architecture strategies, the ACF Group centrally manages capital raising for all alternatives products and portfolio solutions for all institutional investors in alternatives, across private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure, growth equity, secondaries, GP stakes, impact investing, and absolute-return strategies. 

The Alternatives Portfolio Solutions Team within ACF is responsible for client portfolio analytics, market data analysis, and thought leadership across all of the firm’s alternative asset strategies globally. 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with client strategists to help clients better understand their portfolios and develop unique solutions suited to their needs
  • Working with investment teams across the alternatives platform to analyze broad sets of market and proprietary portfolio data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Developing market-leading thought leadership and research on alternative investments across topics including asset allocation and risk management, portfolio construction, performance measurement and benchmarking, value creation, and market dynamics.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent quantitative, writing, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Intellectually curious, with ability to absorb and synthesize information, ask questions, and build knowledge base across asset management, alternative investment, and macroeconomic topics.
  • Strong ability to multi-task, with an ability to manage multiple projects with different deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail orientation.

Salary Range 

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $90000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
