Minimum Position Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) months of appropriate experience.
Must be able to obtain a State Certification as a security officer within 180 days of employment.
Must have a valid driver’s license in order to drive a patrol car.

Applicants will be assessed every two weeks.
Applications will be reviewed on Mondays and interviews will be conducted on Fridays.
Work Schedule
The standard shifts are 5:00 am to 3:00 pm, 3:00 pm to 1:00 am, and 7:00 pm to 5:00 am.
Hours will vary and shifts will rotate based on needs with a maximum of 32 hours each week.
This position is required to report to the designated work location to ensure the operation of essential campus functions or departments during an emergency, or when the University has suspended or delayed operations.

Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk considerable distances on campus. The employee frequently is required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and color vision.
