Oracle EPM Planning Lead (FP&A)

We are offering a unique opportunity for a Planning Solution Architect with a background in accounting and/or financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to join our growing Oracle EPM Consulting Practice. This position is a client-facing role to lead system implementations from a people, process, and technology viewpoint.
This consultant will lead execution of end-to-end implementations from system design through implementation and support for Oracle EPM solutions with a focus on Planning modules. In addition to technical skills required, the role includes oversight/development of staff, project management, and effective communication to internal leadership and client points of contact.
The successful candidate is an out of the box thinker who loves to solve problems in creative ways. As a leader at our company, it is expected that this role will mentor and educate junior staff and collaborate cross-functionally with other service offerings. Overall, it is integral that candidates are eager to learn their client’s business and work alongside clients as a first choice advisor.
This is an excellent opportunity for a systems-minded professional with a strong background in Accounting/Finance, ideally consulting/project management and experience with Workday Adaptive Planning (formerly known as Adaptive Insights). Other middle-market CPM tools to implement and support would be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Solution Design and Implementation: Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and design EPM Planning solutions tailored to their needs.
- Configure and customize Planning modules, including dimensions, hierarchies, data forms, workflows, and calculations.
- Lead client delivery activities within assigned accounts and take ownership of overall project success
- Conduct training and design walk-through/user acceptance testing sessions
- Manage staffing on projects to ensure proper balance of work across levels
- Develop and present design documents based on their requirement to clients and manage the design of their EPM implementation.
- Data Integration and Validation: Work with technical teams to integrate EPM Planning solutions with various data sources and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Develop data validation and reconciliation procedures to ensure reliable planning data.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and implement performance tuning techniques to enhance the speed and efficiency of EPM Planning applications.
- Optimize calculations, aggregation methods, and data loading processes to improve system performance.
- Manage project scope, tasks, deadlines, budgets and work with project team through EPM implementations
- Invest in talent through development opportunities and engaging in constructive feedback conversations
- Network internally to promote the practice and our service offerings to others in the firm
Basic Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or related field
- Experience managing Oracle EPM projects
- Implemented three or more full cycle Oracle EPM module projects
- Strong expertise in EPM Planning solutions, preferably with experience in Oracle Hyperion Planning or Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the following financial applications/services: PBCS, Hyperion or other EPM Applications such as Prophix, Adaptive Insights, Host Analytics, or Cognos
- Strong conceptual, analytic and problem solving skills
- Strong project and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Able and willing to travel up to 20% of the time
