PMO Project Coordinator II

Location: Maplewood, MN (Hybrid, 1 day/week on site)

Introduction:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized PMO (Project Management Office) Project Coordinator to join our IT PMO team. The PMO Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the Project Management Office by ensuring that projects run smoothly and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong administrative skills, and has a passion for project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination and administration of projects within the PMO.
  • Maintain project documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure deadlines are met or risks are escalated.
  • Prepare and distribute progress reports to stakeholders; may necessitate PowerBI report design/development to enable self-serve transparency to metrics/statistics
  • Schedule meetings and prepare meeting agendas.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams and stakeholders.
  • Track risks, issues, and changes and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Support project managers in day-to-day activities to ensure successful project completion.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on project documentation and deliverables.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of PMO processes and procedures; continuously identify areas of improvement and help build our knowledge sharing website
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote the PMO and project management best practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, MIS or related field.
  • 2 years or more experience as a Project Manager, PMO Coordinator or similar project management role.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (i.e. Agile, Waterfall).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools/software (i.e., Microsoft Project, JIRA).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • PMI Certification (i.e. PMP or CAPM) is a plus.
  • Agile Certification (i.e. Product Owner or Scrum Master) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence software a plus (i.e. EazyBI, PowerBI)
