Overview:

We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to join our biotech client’s dynamic team. This role is critical for planning and executing a wide array of projects, focusing on innovative solutions in IT development and operations. The successful candidate will be adept at managing complex programs, fostering strong business relationships, and leveraging business services to organically grow client relationships. This position requires a strategic leader with a proven ability to navigate high-stakes environments and drive project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, budgeting, and change management.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, requirements, and success metrics.
  • Develop comprehensive project documentation including business cases, charters, plans, and contingency strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the lifecycle of complex projects, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing detailed updates and expert advice to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Conduct risk assessments, and develop and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Drive issue resolution and risk management processes, maintaining rigorous focus on meeting schedule, quality, and contractual obligations.
  • Foster an environment of creativity and innovation, encouraging team collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Maintain rigorous adherence to budgeting guidelines and financial forecasting, ensuring transparency and fiscal responsibility.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline.
  • At least 7 years of project management experience, with a minimum of 5 years in IT development and operations.
  • At least 4 years of agile project management experience.
  • Strong proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, ServiceNow PPM).
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office 365, MS Visio, and dashboarding platforms such as Tableau or MS PowerBI.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects in corporate real estate construction or similar sectors.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business Analyst and/or ITIL certifications.
