RESPONSIBILITIES to include but not limited to:
- Observe and follow all safety related procedures and policies.
- Report immediately to his/her supervisor any injury, unsafe act or condition or any failure of plant/lab equipment.
- Perform in-process testing of products as required by specification.
- Perform incoming inspection (dimensional and testing) of materials, products and samples.
- Notify QA Manager, Supervisor, or Engineer of any non-conformances or discrepancies of products or processes.
- Report/record neatly and accurately all work performed, findings or results of inspections, and time or materials used in completion of assigned work.
- Maintain work area and laboratory in a neat and clean condition and assure that materials and tools are returned to the proper storage and all waste and debris are safely removed upon completion of the assigned work.
- Perform technical or laboratory duties or special assignments as assigned by the QA Manager, Supervisor, or Engineer.
- Conduct themselves and perform his/her duties in a professional, business-like manner, to assure the continued quality and confidence in Victaulic operations and products.
Qualifications (education, experience, skills, personal attributes)
- High School graduate, or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience in a Quality related role preferred.
- Read and understand engineering procedures, drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
- Have a basic knowledge of algebra, geometry and trigonometry.
- Capable of using a computer. Preferred exposure to MS Word and Excel (or similar programs).
- Capable of accurately using calipers, micrometers and optical comparator.
- Capable of working independently, with minimal supervision.
- Capable of working second or third shift, as designated, and occasional Saturdays or overtime during the week.
