We are seeking a Senior Level Infrastructure Engineer to provide leadership over a team of system administrators providing full infrastructure support to a mission critical contract. You will be responsible for designing, building, deploying, and maintaining the IT infrastructure across multiple locations using the latest technologies. The person in this role will be responsible for the operations of secure and highly available computing platforms, servers, and networks. This is a customer focused role where it will be important to provide the customer with appropriate solutions to their daily problems in an efficient and effective manner. You will manage the team that works to define system and network strategy as well as shape the future of the intelligence tradecraft. They will provide direct support for a suite of analytic tools and the adaptation of these products to offer the best functionality possible to the end-user.

A day in the life:
- Managing a diverse set of IT infrastructure across multiple networks and locations
- Supporting day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all connected client, server, storage, network, and mobile devices
- Monitoring and communicating the operational status of IT systems to management
- Optimizing system performance, operation, and resource utilization of a wide range of systems
- Providing detailed analysis and feedback to internal customers for escalated tickets
- Configuring and managing a diverse set of operating systems (Windows, Windows Server, macOS, Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu))
- Managing operating system and software installations (through automated means such as imaging, and tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Foreman, etc.)
- Maintaining the integrity of network components, ensuring availability and resiliency of systems (e.g. Nagios, Nessus, Symantec)
- Proactively identifying areas of improvement, and proposing/implementing enhancements to systems and softwareLeveraging and authoring scripts (e.g. Powershell, Bash) to automate tasks
- Utilizing workflow and productivity tools such as GitLab, Mattermost, Jira, Confluence to communicate, document, and manage work
- Establishing strong, collaborative working relationships with Government customers, technical staff, and peers
- Working with and integrating Windows services into a heterogeneous environment (e.g. Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, vSphere)
What we are expecting from you:
- 10 or more years of experience as a Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required
- Ability to work well integrating your contributions with others across a diverse team
- Strong analysis and problem-solving experience Robust communication skills (written and verbal) Strong customer/mission focused mentality
