Job Description
- The primary responsibility of the Laboratory Technician is to provide external and internal customer analytical requirements including maintaining conformance to analytical procedures including testing, instruments maintenance and documentation.
- The technician will be responsible to perform daily testing, laboratory support functions and assisting relevant personnel with special project as need and assigned: including the following:
- To maintain high level of quality, control and quality assurance of all analysis carried out in the laboratory
- Perform offshore/onshore related activiries
- Assure data reliability to adherence through quality assurance
- Additionally provide technical support and guidance to the lab personnel
- Investigate quality incident related to the laboratory
- Responsible and accountable for all laboratory activity under the direction as well as maintain ISO 9001, 17025, internal SOP and client’s work requirement relating to analysis and data generation
- Plan the schedule of maintenance and calibration of instrumentation
- Additional to this the technician must ensure compliance to all company’s program, contributing to meet customer service, commitment to maintain laboratory operations, complying to QA/QC, HSE, environment and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical or Petroleum Engineering from recognized university/college.
- 2 to 3 years or more working experience in Oil & Gas industry where applicable.
- Experience in laboratory application.
