In the Information Office Rastatt, our tasks include everything from IT infrastructure to data science projects for various plant areas. In view of these challenging and exciting tasks, we are looking for you as a working student.

As a Solution Architect for Data & Analytics, you will make a significant contribution to the digital transformation of Mercedes-Benz AG's production plants. You will work hand in hand with our experienced architects and globally distributed experts to provide our business customers with the best possible IT and analytics products. From building dedicated infrastructure-as-code environments, to supporting management with the most effective reporting, to scalable AI applications, the potential with us is limitless.

We are looking for a committed and motivated person to join our team as a working student from July 2024.

As a working student, you will support us in various projects and have the opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic environment.

Possible tasks in detail:

• Support in cross-divisional, cross-location and international working/project groups to implement new PowerBI solutions for operational business processes and integration of new technologies
• Planning, implementation and evaluation of proof-of-concepts, piloting, validation and business case analysis of innovative (tech) solutions
• Developing and creating concepts for solution and system architectures and integrating these into existing IT infrastructures
• Recording, understanding, structuring and scrutinizing requirements
• Advising business partners on customized IT solutions
• Optimizing and improving products in constant exchange with customers and in cooperation with contact persons at the Rastatt plant
• Planning, coordinating, implementing, communicating and documenting changes
• Carrying out market observations and market analyses on future trends and technological developments; deriving and implementing the resulting recommendations for action for innovative IT solutions at the plant

Qualifikationen

• Degree in the field of business informatics, industrial engineering or comparable courses of study
• Confident knowledge of German and English
• Initial experience in the topics: PowerBI, cloud computing, software development, data science, data engineering or similar would be an advantage
• Knowledge of important automation technology trends & applications (e.g. AI, RPA, data mining, etc.)
• Initial project management know-how according to PMI and agile project management methods (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
• High level of personal responsibility and commitment
• Strong communication skills
• Analytical thinking and the ability to recognize complex relationships and derive specific solutions from them
• Willingness and ability to regularly expand your knowledge of new technologies and working methods
• Strong interest in technical and business issues
