The College of Education as the oldest college at Rowan University has a long-held commitment to excellence in teaching, community engagement, and innovation in scholarship. The College of Education is fully accredited under the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) standards by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and initial certification programs are approved by the New Jersey Department of Education. Rowan University is classified as a Doctoral University – Moderate Research Activity by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. The main university campus is located in a Glassboro, New Jersey- a suburban, residential setting in southern New Jersey less than 20 miles from Philadelphia. The College of Education has over 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students and was recently recognized as having one of the best online graduate programs in the country. The department of Wellness and Inclusiveness in Educational Settings is one of four departments within the College of Education. The department of Wellness and Inclusiveness in Educational Settings houses graduate programs in school psychology (NASP approved), counseling in educational settings (CACREP approved), and a post-baccalaureate program in school nursing. The College of Education is fully accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and approved by the New Jersey Department of Education.
The department of Wellness and Inclusiveness in Educational Settings is accepting applications for adjuncts to teach in our MA level program in Counseling in Educational Settings beginning Fall of 2024. We are especially interested in candidates whose research and teaching explicitly addresses issues of anti-racism, equity, access, and social justice as grounded in theoretical frameworks. The department is seeking a creative and innovative faculty member to play an integral role in our Master’s level program in school counseling. Qualifications:
This position requires demonstrated scholarly and teaching excellence in counseling in educational settings. Specifically, the department is looking for a faculty member, who is dedicated to increasing anti racism inclusive practices that will result in equitable educational opportunities for diverse learners.
