1776 is seeking a full-time Director of Business Development to join its Global Services team. If you want to leverage your sales experience in a fast-paced environment where you can collaborate with the some of the most inspiring startups changing industries that matter, then we are a good match. We’re looking for a Director of Business Development with the experience, energy and commitment to achieve our business development goals.

The Director of Business Development will be focused on building and growing a pipeline of business as well as developing partner relationships in the C-Suite. They will manage the entire sales cycle, including initial outreach, developing proposals, client presentations and contract negotiations.

The ideal candidate has experience with consultative selling and is a goal-oriented, strategic and collaborative thinker. This individual must be a self-starter with previous experience in sales.

This role will:

  • Master our products and competitive landscape in order to profile potential business development targets
  • Identify and qualify potential sales leads and build and grow a sales pipeline
  • Manage the entire sales process to ensure consistent progress towards revenue goals
  • Identify key decision makers in organizations and engage with executives in the C-Suite
  • Negotiate and close complex business deals against an individual quota
  • Travel as necessary

Key qualifications

  • 5+ years of sales experience in a consultative sales role
  • Strong track record of meeting and exceeding revenue goals
  • Experience managing and closing deals with large and enterprise sized businesses
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience with Salesforce or other sales tracking softwares preferred
