Our consultants deliver the innovative thinking and business-changing recommendations that are core to our client work. They work in small, flexible teams alongside clients for the duration of a project. Generalist consultants move fluidly between different industry and functional areas, especially early in their tenure. Practice consultants spend at least 50 percent of their time focused on a particular industry or function. Many students join us as generalist or practice consultants in our business analyst or associate roles. Experienced professionals already in the work force who apply to generalist or practice consultant roles tend to join as associates, although starting roles can vary based on background and years of experience. These are short-term roles lasting approximately 10 weeks for students in their penultimate year of a degree-granting program. Associate intern is most relevant for those pursuing an advanced degree while the business analyst/fellow intern position is geared toward undergraduates.
