Description:

Reporting to the Practice Coordinator, Surgery, the Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting with various types of surgery through performance that is in compliance with established policies and procedures of the hospital and within the educational preparation of the individual. Incumbents in a technical role are expected to assess and analyze given situations and make decisions within the limits of practice.

1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Successful completion of a surgical technologist technical training program is required. Eighteen (18) months of scrub tech 

experience in an acute care operating room may substitute for the training program requirement.

3. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.

4. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification issued through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting 

(NBSTSA) is preferred

Pay Range:$27.63-43.09
