Machinist / Machine Operator | $20-$25 Hourly | Hutchinson, Kansas

Work Schedule:

• Expected work hours: Monday to Friday, 7:20 am to 4:00 pm.
• Anticipated workweek: 40 to 45 hours.

Position Description: We are currently seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join a manufacturing team. This full-time position involves a range of responsibilities, including operating processing cells, machining bores and pinholes using manual equipment, and assisting with various manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining product quality.

General Responsibilities:

• Maintain product quality by adhering to processes and specifications.
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Quickly learn and follow existing processes, systems, and methods.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new programs and systems.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills.

Manufacturing & Inventory Control:

• Operate manufacturing cells, including the set-up and operation of automatic and semi-automatic grinding machines.
• Perform CNC and manual machining/EDM to enhance blade features.
• Become proficient in operating various processing equipment.
• Learn and excel in carbide blade brazing and blade tensioning/hammering processes.
• Gain a complete understanding of manufacturing and inventory control processes.
• Provide guidance to management on inventory status and accuracy.
• Maintain, clean, and service equipment and facilities on a regular schedule, documenting all activities.

Shipping and Receiving:

• Package products as required.
• Perform receiving and shipping tasks and processes as needed.
