Weir Minerals is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, execution and completion of various projects, ranged from delivery of equipment to integrated solutions to our customers, with a focus on delivering projects to scope, on time and within budget. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in driving the success of our projects and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage different complexity and risk concurrent projects involving established protocols. Plans overall project activities, manage design, supervises and coordinates all cross functional activities required to execute the project, whether done in house or by suppliers/subcontractors.
• Ensure superior quality product is delivered to customers on time and on budget
• Responsible for actively managing the Revenue Recognition, Invoicing and Gross Margin expectation for each project and reporting to senior management in a timely fashion, any potential negative impacts to allow for mitigation
• Prepare and monitor project schedules encapsulating manufacturing, purchasing and documentation progress of projects to a satisfactory conclusion and actively manage adherence to key project deadlines
• Ensure adequate and consistent project status and progress reporting and monitoring for effective internal and external tracking
• Identifies issues and constrains, evaluates alternatives, makes recommendations and implements solutions according to established guidelines
• Variation process management and ensuring the internal and external order progress and planning impact is incorporated and effectively communicated to internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure project management customer support during order execution, up to and including verification of deliverables as per contractual scope
• Facilitate all contract requirements are met in a timely manner by monitoring and expediting through each respective functional department & personnel
• Maintain and improve professional relationships with company customers, ensure honest and open lines of communications

Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or Supply Chain preferred and +5 years of experience in heavy Engineering environment and Project Management
• Exposure and experience with contract/project management within the capital equipment – manufacturing field is highly advantageous
• Minimum 1 years of relevant SAP experience
• Exposure to industrial/slurry pump packages and hydrotransport solutions, automated classification units and crashing plants is considered an asset.
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to lead, motivate and build teams
• Excellent organizational skills, easily capable of effectively juggling and completing multiple tasks at the same time and thrives under pressure.
