About the role

MyEyeDr is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Director to join our dynamic team at a leading private equity owned vision healthcare organization. The candidate will play a pivotal role in providing senior leadership with the information needed to facilitate strategic, operational, and tactical decisions. They will also measure progress toward reaching company goals, analyze trends and focus on forecasting results for the future.

The candidate will provide leadership with detailed analyses and reports to understand the performance of the business and its growth potential. The candidate will be primarily focused on building a deep understanding of business trends through thorough analysis and modeling and preparing reports to convey findings to leadership.

Reporting to the Sr. Vice President, FP&A, this leader will be responsible for several direct reports that will be assigned to partner with several business leaders across the organization. The goal is to build a bench of subject matter expertise that will be aligned with the business functions and will lend strategic, financial support by way of performing financial analysis, sensitivity modeling, budgeting and forecasting to support key strategic decision support.

This is a hybrid role with a flexible work arrangement out of our Vienna, VA or Raleigh, NC offices.

You Will

• Lead the development of financial forecasts, budgets and long-term financial plans. Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Design and present focused, strategic reporting to senior management and private equity sponsors, highlighting key performance indicators and financial highlights.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage departmental budgets. Monitor and control expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines, and identifying areas for cost optimization.
• Evaluate potential investments and acquisitions. Conducts ROI analyses to assess the financial feasibility of expansion projects and strategics initiatives.
• Partner with accounting to ensure that the cash flow projections for current year forecast, budgets and long-range modeling are consistent with their transaction treatment methodology and expected timing. Cash flow modeling and forecasting experience are key to this role.
• Develop financial models to forecast various scenarios and long-range planning and assess potential risks and opportunities, guiding decision making processes.
• Partner with executive leadership to formulate financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term goals and private equity investor expectations.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• MBA or advanced financial certifications (CPA, CFA) preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in progressive Finance roles.
• Proven experience as a Sr Finance Leader or similar role in a multi-location sales or retail environment.
• Proven experience with planning and delivering a monthly forecast, annual budget and long-range planning.
• Proven experience with capital planning management to include return on investment analysis and reporting.
• Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, with a deep understanding of financial concepts and key performance indicators
• Prior experience in private equity backed environments and familiarity with investor reporting requirements a plus.
• Proficient in financial software and ERP systems (Power BI, Oracle, Planful)
