Lead Receiver
The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston
The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Lead Receiver to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.
The Lead Receiver will be responsible on assisting the Receiving supervisor and the Purchasing supervisor with daily operations on the loading dock area and others, will also be assisting on the daily processing of the documents for accounting.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to all departments to plan and execute all receiving processes and provide an effective interface with all departments.
- Verifies incoming deliveries against purchase orders; directs trucks into docks and check loads for infestation and sanitation.
- Ensure compliance with all purchasing policies and manage all communication for all receiving activities.
- Performs general warehouse functions, outlet requisition movement, stocking, and rotating product.
- Must maintain clean and sanitary operating environment; responsible for maintaining cleanliness of receiving area including loading dock, receiving office area, and storeroom.
- Inspect food quality at time of receipt; logging in all required temp. Anything questionable must be approved by F&B Management or the Director of Purchasing.
- Assist the Receiving Supervisor on the daily duties and oversee the loading dock operation in his absence.
- Assist the purchasing department to meet the monthly deadlines on the month-end. Performs other duties as assigned.

- Must possess excellent organizational and analytical skills. Numbers oriented.
- Experience and/or certification in using general warehouse equipment such as manual and electric pallet jacks.
- Physical demands:
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
