The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Receiving Supervisor to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.
The Receiving Supervisor responsibilities include supervise the loading dock operations, coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs, overseeing the receiving processes along with the Storeroom operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to all departments to plan and execute all purchasing processes and provide an effective interface with all departments.
- Ensure compliance with all purchasing policies and manage all communication for all receiving activities.
- Administer everyday activities of all receiving staff and provide training to staff to ensure compliance in all receiving activities.
- Supervise and organize all loading dock operations, loading dock schedules and flow.
- Evaluate and maintain all reports for inventory re-order and coordinate with internal departments for the same and maintain an efficient purchase order system and manager all communication with internal customers and recommend improvements to all service levels and ensure accuracy.
- Works collaboratively with departments in obtaining specifications; assists with development and review to ensure specifications are clear, concise, and unambiguous.
- Research and/or facilitate research on product lines for the Storeroom; provide Purchasing Supervisor and DOP with recommendations regarding new ideas and new products that will achieve better cost control.
- Conduct physical inventories quarterly, annually, or as needed. Performs other purchasing tasks and projects as required by management.

- Must possess excellent organizational and analytical skills. Numbers oriented.
- Experience and/or certification in using general warehouse equipment such as manual and electric pallet jacks.
- Physical demands:
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.

Pay Range
USD $20.00 - USD $22.00 /Hr.
