The Purpose of the Role

We have an opportunity for a Cyber Security Architect/Engineer (with PowerShell and .Net) to join our team in Cybersecurity Center of Excellence & Innovation (COE&I) Dubai. The successful candidate will be part of a team that designs, develops, and integrates complex software functions within the Cybersecurity division of Honeywell Connected Enterprise. You will participate in building and maintaining a microservices-based application, that enables the delivery of cybersecurity services to customers managing systems and assets that support critical infrastructure. The position will have a direct reporting relationship to the Cyber Security Supervisor and shall work as part of a global Cybersecurity Centers of Excellence & Innovations team.

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside System Architects, Developers and Engineering team members to provide software solutions revolving around Honeywell products and services.
• Making strategies with the product team members to develop new solutions with a primary focus on scalability, security, performance, and integration.
• Participate in designing new features, together with their specific verification and validation routines, in accordance with the requirements stated by the Business.
• Design and develop efficient code in a modern object-oriented software language.
• Generate clear, understandable component designs, documentation, and deployment guides.
• Support system test activities through the development life cycle.
• Develop sound and trusted relationships with internal Customers by providing accurate and efficient technical/engineering support.
• Interact with other developers and assist in resolving technical issues during project lifecycle.

We Value:

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field such as Computer Science, Computer information systems, or electronics.
• 1+ Commercial Software Development experience.
• 1+ Agile Development Experience.
• 1+ years of backend focused development (C# .NET ) OR frontend focused development (JavaScript / NodeJS, HTML5).

Nice to have

• Effective written and verbal skills to enable strong communication capabilities.
• Ability to write / craft clear, understandable documentation that translates complicated technical processes to a target audience.
• Experience with development tools for unit and integration testing.
• Familiarity with one or more of these scripting languages: PowerShell, Python.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
