Position Requirements

The Quality Reporting Specialist will serve as the liaison between the IT/analytics departments and the clinical Quality team and will manage quality reporting compliance with the CMS Quality Payment Program (QPP) for the anesthesia and pain specialties. This position is virtual/remote. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Quality leadership on selection of CMS measures for upcoming reporting year and clinician education efforts
  • Serve as primary contact for annual Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) data submission to CMS
  • Serve as a Quality/IT liaison to identify data issues, determine cause, assist with resolve, and validate any implemented fixes.
  • Review Quality data daily and follow-up if discrepancies are identified
  • Audit CMS measure data and determine root cause(s) for low reporting or performance rate
  • Collaborate with vendors on design/enhancements for quality reporting tools or applications, including yearly measure changes and routine development cycles
  • Provide frequent, timely updates to QI team members on all relevant changes/updates/issues
  • Identify and advocate for enhancements/upgrades to BI dashboards and reports
  • Create custom reports (Excel, PowerPoint) for QI team or clients

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of related business field experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Comfortable working with large data sets 
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong team player but also comfortable working independently
  • Detail-oriented, organized, strong time-management skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Proficient with PowerBI/Tableau reporting (as user and/or designer)
  • SQL Server Management Studio proficiency
  • Master Data Services proficiency
  • Understanding of Agile Project Management methodology
  • Healthcare IT experience
  • Familiarity with Healthcare billing/coding practices
  • Previous experience with or willingness to work remotely/work from home in a dedicated office space to meet HIPAA requirements
