Course Description:

Support law students from China in enhancing their legal English skills, facilitating their successful participation in a lecture series led by the Faculty of Law. Guide students through comprehensively developing their language abilities to grasp and engage with complex legal concepts. Prepare students to deliver a capstone project by the end of the program, emphasizing the practical application of legal terminology and communication strategies within the Canadian legal framework. Supervise a teaching assistant to ensure a supportive learning environment that fosters academic success and cultural integration.

Master's degree in second language teaching, TESL or related discipline. Two years of experience teaching ESL at the college/university level. Previous experience teaching this course or an equivalent ESL course. Experience with team-teaching. TESL Certification or equivalent.
