About the role
- Be part of a Squad that is truly cross-functional including UX designers, content writers, and business subject matter experts.
- Build a new core system from the ground up, as well as maintain the Baltic web shop and other sales and marketing tools that bring real value to the business.
- We have built a very stable system and we strive to keep it that way, you will play a crucial role in not just sustaining that, but also helping to build on that by implementing K8S and WAF with the help of our Infrastructure team.
- We work with the latest technologies and do our best to incorporate the latest industry standards; we constantly improve and adapt as we progress together with support and expertise from our architects and Platform team.
What are you going to do?
- Design, develop, and maintain solutions developed in the Squads tech stack as listed below.
- Be a valuable squad member who supports the entire Squad’s delivery based on companywide OKRs.
- Bring your own vision and expertise to the Squad, anyone has a voice in the Squad, and we do value different approaches to challenging situations. Your manager and Squad leaders are there to support you and the Squad in its roadmap all the way.
- Although Squad is very mature be also prepared to mentor more junior developers and proactively share your expertise with fellow colleagues when needed
What do we expect from you?
Must have
- Very good knowledge of C# and .NET framework, at least a couple of years of professional work experience in this ecosystem.
- Good knowledge of JavaScript and React, or similar frameworks. (We use React but have also used Angular in the past.)
- HTML5 and CSS3
- Knowledge of Cloud applications (preferably Azure) and DevOps approach of building, deploying, and maintaining software.
- A keen eye for good design, attention to detail, and willingness to fix smaller problems at hand when required.
- Component-based UI library approach in developing software. We have our own lib and platform template and expect you to also play along.
- Experience of bringing to life responsive designs and advocating a mobile-first approach is considered as a plus.
Nice to have
- Experience working in an Agile context (in a cross-functional team), if no prior knowledge of the Agile world, then a strong willingness to adapt and be a part of the Squad and its daily routines. You’ll learn along the way, and we’ll help you with that.
- MVC experience.
- CI/CD tooling framework (Azure DevOps or equal).
- Experience with unit/integration/smoke testing.
- Accessibility guidelines knowledge.
