The Continuous Improvement (CI) Lead plays a pivotal role in driving and sustaining a culture of continuous improvement within the MDS Function and MDLZ NA Business Units. The primary responsibilities include managing CI programs, providing training and guidance on structured problem-solving methodologies, and leading priority projects across the CI spectrum.

Main Responsibilities:

Equip Organization with Training & Tools:

  • Develop and implement training programs to equip employees with the necessary skills and tools for continuous improvement and structured problem-solving.
  • Ensure widespread adoption and proficiency in CI methodologies across the organization.

Boost CI Culture:

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by empowering and enabling employees to participate in improvement initiatives.
  • Lead the Kaizen Program to encourage idea generation, sharing, and implementation.

Mentorship of Structured Problem-Solving Initiatives:

  • Provide active mentorship and guidance for CI initiatives, leveraging methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Agile, and Design Thinking.
  • Lead process simplification efforts using industry-established problem-solving tools and methodologies.

Lead Process Simplification:

  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma, Agile/Scrum Projects, Kaizen Workshops, and other tools to streamline processes and eliminate waste.
  • Conduct value stream mapping, lean analysis, and waste analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Demonstrate strong teamwork skills and the ability to build a network.
  • Energize others and possess excellent communication, presentation, training, and interpersonal skills.

  • Display high analytical capabilities and relevant process expertise to identify issues and formulate recommendations

More about this role

  • 7+ years of experience in a global business services environment or internal service delivery.
  • Progressive work experience in Simplification & Innovation, including Lean Six Sigma and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in navigating complex organizations with matrix reporting structures.
  • Strong project management skills with hands-on delivery of end-to-end improvement projects.
  • Black Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma.
  • Optional: Recognized Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master, Certified Product Owner, Certified Enterprise Coach, SAFe Agilist.
  • Ability to break down complex problems and develop productive working relationships with diverse teams and business leaders.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.

The Continuous Improvement Lead will play a critical role in driving organizational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, ultimately leading to enhanced efficiency, effectiveness, and value creation.
