Description

Do you have strong knowledge and experience in modern software engineering practices, and are you seeking a new job in Auckland? Apex Group is looking for a full-time Senior Software Engineer. 

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop the systems within the company's business, which provides fund administration, wealth administration, unit pricing, and custody services to investment managers who collectively have over $140 billion of assets. You will provide input and implementation of software solutions through the utilisation of your experience and the help of your squad members.

Here are some of the responsibilities and duties but not limited to the following:

  • Write software to solve business problems
  • Maintain software development standards
  • Contribute to refinement sessions to promote the best possible solutions
  • Ensure data integrity and security within the system
  • Promote best practice software development standard.

To apply for this role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

  • .Net Ecosystem (Framework and Core), C#, Entity Framework, SQL, Git, ASP.NET MVC, WCF
  • Experience with XUnit or NUnit
  • Problem solving skills to analyse and fix technical issues
  • Familiarity with iterative development practices like Scrum or Kanban.

It would be beneficial to have the following: 

  • jQuery, JavaScript, Typescript, CSS, Design Tokens
  • Angular, React
  • Tailwind
  • Design System – e.g. Storybook
  • Dapper, Liquibase or a database migration tool
  • Azure Ecosystem
  • YAML CI/CD Pipelines, Azure DevOps
  • Playwright, Gherkin, Cucumber 
  • Investment or Financial industry experience
  • Docker, Terraform and Kubernetes
  • N-Tier and Clean Architectures (Onion / Hexagonal)
