We are currently looking for a Loss Prevention Manager, 40 hours per week to strengthen the LP team (temporary for 12 months). We are looking for a cross-location for our stores in the Germany West Area (Cologne, Düsseldorf & Stuttgart).

In this role, you will be responsible for all daily tasks related to loss prevention and security management in our businesses. You will report to the COO Germany and EU Loss Prevention Manager and work with them and the team to ensure the safety and well-being of all employees and assets of the company.

Hours: Temporary full time contract (40h per week)

Flexibility: Regular shift from Monday to Friday with exceptional late shift for specific occasions. Must be able to travel regularly between Cologne/Düsseldorf/Stuttgart. 

Starting date: As soon as possible 

Salary: Up to 57.500€

What are your key responsibilities? 

  • Implementation of all loss prevention measures
  • Ensuring the dissemination and transfer of knowledge about loss prevention, security
  • guidelines and required processes and standards
  • Training employees in security and loss prevention measures and guidelines
  • Recognising and apprehending shoplifters according to company regulations and guidelines
  • Prepare and investigate incident and accident reports according to company policy
  • Supporting management in the finding and investigation of breaches of company policies
  • Communicate and support all loss reduction initiatives such as audits, inventories, theft etc.
  • Develop and provide recommendations and solutions to potential loss and safety issues
  • Ensure complete confidentiality regarding current and past investigations and their findings
  • Receiving alarm calls and responding appropriately, leading to the resolution of the
  • triggering issue
  • Carrying out or participating in projects and events

What are the requirements? 

  • 5+ years of experience of loss prevention in the retail sector ideally in a manager position
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of computer applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Good knowledge of English and German, both C1 equivalent + or B1 equivalent + and the motivation
  • to expand existing basic knowledge
  • Willingness to work sitting at a computer for long periods of time as well as standing or walking,
  • depending on requirements
  • Flexibility to travel regularly between Cologne/Düsseldorf/Stuttgart. 
  • Passing a certificate of competence according to § 34a trade regulations is an advantage
