About you can this role

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Operations IT Senior Solution Specialist located in Chennai, India. This role will be part of a team that develops and supports a variety of enterprise applications. This role must be fluent in C# .NET JavaScript (Angular) framework and be familiar with MS Azure environments with opportunity for exposure to different languages based on project needs. This role must have a well-rounded background in modern software development tools and a willingness to learn additional technologies. This ro will contribute to the design and planning of application projects, must have a good understanding of DRY method coding standards and be proficient with Object Oriented Programming (OOP).

Responsibilities:

• Help design and develop enterprise solutions for our global organization.
• Help support/ troubleshoot solutions currently in our portfolio.
• Develop applications, APIs, data models and integrations that are sustainable and supportable.
• Create support and design documentation that is clearly detailed.
• Must have general knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum, DevOps, etc.) and tools (Git, Insomnia/Postman, static code analysis, etc.) to collaborate efficiently with the team.
• Due to the global nature of the team, the candidate may need to work evening hours to meet with team members in the USA. 

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development, or Engineering or equivalent software development experience
• Fluent in English.
• Experience with Microsoft's software development stack: .NET full-framework and core (C#), Entity Framework, SQL Server, HTML, etc.
• Experience with frontend web libraries/frameworks: Angular, Bootstrap, (JavaScript/Typescript), ASP.NET MVC, etc.
• More than 5 years of related working experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• General familiarity with Azure Developer services: App services, Functions, Logic Apps, Application Insights, Azure SQL, etc.
• Willing and able to learn new technologies as needed.
• SQL Server Integration Services, Python, ASP.NET, Windows development, .Net Core, Visual Basic, MySQL, Couchbase, Linux, Kubernetes.
