Supervisor, Cash Application

Sensata Technologies

The Cash Application Supervisor is expected to lead, coach and develop the Cash Application Team ensuring proper invoice processing and payments, to drive change in AP teams towards operational excellence with continuous improvement mindset.

General Responsibilities

  • Keep vendor statements and responses up to date
  • Supervise the full cycle of cash application activities, month-end accruals, and GL reconciliations
  • Interact with regional and corporate areas and vendors
  • Support process improvement projects
  • Coordination of internal requests in respect of invoices and payments
  • Coordinate with the respective business units to ensure timely resolution of any issues and discrepancies. Analyze the problems, undertake and make suggestions, take corrective and preventive actions and lead the execution on these
  • Work closely with purchasing staff and management to resolve purchase order/receipt/invoice discrepancies
  • Ensure reconciliation and month end activities as per schedule
  • Design performance and compliance reports and communicate the status to the management
  • Audits and SOX compliance
  • Support developing processes/systems to measure, evaluate, and improve departmental and individual productivity
  • Provides day to day supervision to team to ensure the efficient operation of the function

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
  • Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
