Student Intern Undergrad - WM Child Youth and Families - (240004R7)

Description

The Department of Mental Health is seeking to hire an intern who will support the Western Area (WMA) Child Youth and Families Division. The project will consist of reviewing treatment plans for selected types of services and interviewing families and youth regarding their experience with those services, with an eye toward how treatment plans reflect family preferences and goals, as well as the relationship between stated goals and services delivered. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to engage well with parents and youth over video and in person. Preferably, the intern will also have the ability to develop tools for gathering and synthesizing data and will be able to create reports using the information collected. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Given the population served, bilingual or multilingual fluency.
  • Ability to use spreadsheets and video conferencing software (Teams)
  • Ability to engage with strangers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Basic understanding of treatment goals and Modalities.

Period of Service: May 28, 2024 - August 31, 2024

Additional Information:

Benefits are unavailable with the exception of sick leave accruals.

All employees will be paid on a biweekly basis and must have direct deposit.

The salary for this position is $18 an hour.

Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Days Off: Saturday and Sunday
