Supervisor - Transload Operations

The Supervisor of Transload Operations is primarily responsible for supporting the manager across all facets of transload operations at Ft. Martin Power Facility. In the absence of the manager, the Supervisor will take charge of transload operations, acting as the main liaison between CTC and FE personnel. Additionally, they will provide guidance to CTC equipment operators and laborers involved in the transload process.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe working environment for all transload operations, prioritizing safety as a top concern.
  • Aid in coordinating and communicating activities between Houston Logistics, CTC Vessel Operations, and Ft. Martin plant personnel, particularly regarding shipments and estimated arrival times of barges.
  • Contribute to the training and development of personnel necessary for efficient transload operations.
  • Facilitate clear and efficient communication between shoreside FE plant personnel and CTC personnel to manage daily transload volumes effectively.
  • Assist in monitoring and documenting daily production goals in alignment with the established CTC/FE Agreement.
  • Monitor harbor vessel efficiencies throughout the transload spotting process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED certificate, or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with a focus on Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in business management or a related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in operations management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Physical Capabilities:

  • Ability to carry, push, pull or move 10 pounds regularly, or up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to sit up to 8 hours per day.
