We are looking for a Director of Security at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong!

As a Director of Security, we rely on you to:

  • Responsible for the protection of Hotel guest, staff, assets and other resources by developing and maintaining an organisation that is responsive to the current, continuing and immediately foreseeable security, safety and health / hygiene requirements of the Hotel
  • Design and implement security plans, policies and procedures; regular review and keep updating the exist policies and procedures
  • Conduct continuing Vulnerability Assessments, identifying all risks afftecting the Hotel
  • Attend all necessary meetings (Daily morning briefings, safety committee, performance management meetings etc)
  • Ensure all necessary internal department meetings are conducted such as dialogue and operational meetings
  • Deliver superior security service for special events and VIP visits
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by senior management

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Higher Diploma or above with professional qualifications in Security Management or related disciplines, holder of Security Personnel Permit
  • 10 years relevant experience with 5 years in Hotel / Private Club industry
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Ability to assess risks and perform independent security operations, review and audits
  • Sound knowledge of security access control system, alarm monitoring system & CCTV system
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
