The Business Development Manager, Networking reports to the Director of Sales. This role is responsible for developing business relationships with integrator partners and generating channel demand for the residential and commercial networking market in the western US. This role requires an individual with strong business acumen and a background in technical and relationship sales. The Business Development Manager should have excellent presentation skills, both live and virtual, with the ability to constantly assess the needs of the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Implement initiatives in the residential networking market that drive product adoption and grow revenues while maximizing profits
  • Identify and develop new business, generate product interest, and expand category penetration of existing customer base
  • Accountable for delivering revenue opportunities and strategies to achieve the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to provide effective training programs to educate and promote Access Networks services
  • Collaborate with Snap One sales colleagues and branch managers to promote network agnostic training that drives sales, service, and support
  • Perform regular analysis to measure sales performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement and pipeline revenue
  • Manage pipeline to keep opportunities updated and current for status, close date, and other essential metrics
  • Work with buying group representatives in managed territory to leverage existing relationships with new and existing dealers
  • Cross functional responsibility with the Access Networks Client Services, Technical Services and Sales Engineer assigned to the region to provide best in class training, service and support for partners
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry & buying group events

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in Custom AV Electronics
  • 5+ years’ experience with focus on networking product lines
  • Demonstrated track record of proven business results
  • Problem-solver with strong client/executive relationship management abilities
  • Ability to think strategically and make data driven decisions
  • Willing to travel 50% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Business Degree
  • Subject Matter Expert in Networking
  • Centrally located in the sales region
