Our Sales Team is currently looking for a Clinical Technical Specialist for Belgium as a field-based role, for a period of 24 months, with the possibility of a contract extension or permanent contract after these 2 years. The role consists of approximately 60% clinic visits, 20% working from home and 20% participating in team meetings and trainings (via Teams or in the Benelux office). 

The Clinical Technical specialist is responsible for

  • providing a high level of clinical and technical training and support on our products,
  • contributing to account management,

These two main responsibilities are carried out in the clinical Technical specialist designated Belgian clinics and rehabilitation centres utilizing a “customer centric” approach. In collaboration with the Sales Director and two Territory Managers, the Clinical Technical specialist focusses on training, education, product, and fitting support to the professional customer. The clinical Technical Specialist contributes to improving the entire patient experience and brings added value to the professional customer and the patients. It is our strong believe that an optimal professional support is crucial to ensure long-term sustainable growth in implantable hearing systems for the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support designated clinics in customer care and product support. Examples of Cochlear products are CI systems (processors and implants), fitting software, intra-operative measurements, accessories, apps etc.
  • Become besides a loyal consultant of products and services also a trusted partner of Health Care Professionals (HCP) by offering specific industry and/or domain expertise to help clinics realize their targets and ambitions.
  • Represent Cochlear in the Benelux region
  • Providing on-site or online training in new or existing products and tools to mainly existing customers, both on request and pro-actively
  • Support designated clinics in patient and candidate events and professional referral events 
  • Maintain good records in the Customer Relationship Management system
  • Follow relevant quality procedures to deliver quality products and services and identify and support the implementation of continuous improvement.
  • Contribute ideas on systems and process methods to improve deliverables

Key requirements

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Audiology
  • Moderate professional knowledge of technical French/Dutch and English. Bilingual is ideal.
  • Skilled to work in a fast-moving technological and medical environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible working hours.
  • Living in or close by Belgium. Brussels is ideal. 
  • Team player.
  • Outcome focused.
  • Willing to help, train and support others.
