Responsibilities

Hines is seeking a highly motivated and driven PR intern to support its public relations efforts during the summer months. The ideal candidate will be passionate about real estate, have excellent communication and organizational skills, and be able to work independently and collaboratively.

The Public Relations Intern will support PR for Hines globally, working closely with key internal stakeholders and external agency partners. This role will leverage and build the Hines brand and reputation through strategic communications, helping to increase awareness of Hines and generate preference for the brand.

  • Assist in the development and execution of PR strategies and campaigns
  • Draft press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials
  • Conduct research on industry trends and competitors
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare media reports
  • Support the planning and execution of events and initiatives
  • Support the creation and editing of messaging
  • Maintain media lists and databases
  • Provide administrative support as needed
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team, the global PR team, and our external agency partners

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

  • The internship is a full-time, paid position lasting for approximately 12 weeks during the summer. Ideal start date is as early as May 1, 2024.
  • The internship will be based at Hines' office in Manhattan
  • Pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or related field
  • Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Interest in real estate and/or investment management
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Unwavering commitment to integrity, the firm’s Guiding Principles, and our Leadership Principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lift files, records, and computer paper (approximately 5-10 lbs).
  • Ability to operate a computer, phone system and general office equipment.
  • Compensation: $18/hr - $25/hr
