Job Description:

This role is integral to the effective operations of SPX to ensure compliance and business continuity at all provinces in the area of public relations with local governments. The candidate is required to be highly skilled at problem-solving in the most effective but compliant way when the company faces any interactions with any local governments and/or their requests.

  • Supervise and lead the ER team (at HCMC and Hanoi) to manage all cases related to External Relations such as: government relations, working with courts, and any police (Fire Fighting Police, Market Surveillance, traffic, economic, etc). 
  • Supervise and lead the internal team to handle incident cases, work directly with the government and advise internal teams of business for process, policy, and solutions.
  • Handle escalations in real-time, liaising with relevant stakeholders, and driving incident resolution through to an appropriate conclusion.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Risk, Security and HRBP among others to develop solutions and manage incidents as they arise timely and effectively.
  • Develop initiatives and projects to improve external relations handling procedures including stakeholder mapping and management.
  • Provide leadership and day-to-day management of our External Relations team across the country.
  • In charge of people development and performance for the External Relations team. 
  • Ability to uphold the most confidential of information and be able to communicate to different levels as needed.
  • Advise and suggest solutions and resolutions to manage relationships with the Government.
  • Work closely with the Chief Operations Officer’s Government Relations team as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven abilities to effectively and successfully navigate through government incidents and issues.
  • Have 5+ years of experience related to External Relations/Government (Local) relations, or similar positions or have been working for the Government.
  • Ability to work effectively under high pressure and strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with different teams.
  • Have sensitivity to safety or regulatory issues, and experience with crisis management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to day-to-day challenges.
  • Resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.
  • Ability to manage a team remotely
