The Opportunity

The position is responsible for providing knowledge and expertise related to Cash Operations. This position will represent Treasury Services and Accounts Payable in customer facing issue resolution and the process related dealings with counterpart units to effectively bring about best practices, optimization through automation, elimination or changes that align and comply with global, regional, local, legal, compliance and technology directives, as well as satisfy internal and external audit requirements. The position also provides consultative expertise related to automation concepts and process improvements and will align with global/regional counterparts for adherence to standards and projects driven as needed

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide knowledge and expertise on all processes and tasks within the Accounts Payable and Treasury Services functions, stepping in to complete tasks on an as needed basis.
  • Provide expertise of internal controls in the completion of risk and control reporting, monitoring of operational risks and ensure identified critical processes are documented, remain current and include proactive monitoring/audit reviews to ensure changes are accurately reflected in a timely manner.
  • Lead efforts to develop and train staff in a holistic manner such that all members of the unit are not only cross trained but have an end to end comprehensive understanding of processes and tasks.
  • Support process improvement efforts to bring Accounts Payable and Treasury Services resources together through workshop facilitation and regular meetings to share and gain knowledge, harmonize and regionalize impacted processes.
  • Lead change management tasks to ensure successful adoption of process changes and automation implementations.
  • Create, deliver and lead effective communications with all stakeholders at all levels through the life cycle of each project or initiative.
  • Participate on special assignments as required/requested by management.

Qualifications: 

Successful candidates will possess the following experience, skills, and capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience (required); Treasury experience (a plus)
  • 5+ years successful experience in similar role (e.g. analysis, facilitation, training design and delivery, problem solving, critical thinking initiatives) with large complex/global projects that resulted in significant people and process changes (strongly preferred)
  • Strong creative problem solving and analytical skills to successfully assess current status quo and path necessary to arrive at the desired future state preferred
  • Strong communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to successfully manage multiple efforts/initiatives simultaneously meeting project or processing deadlines preferred
  • Technical experience with SAP preferred, Exposure to Procurement tools a plus
  • Expected to become proficient with current company software/applications
